Time Has a Habit of Flying By

I don't even know where to begin.

Firstly, where has this year gone already!? My last post was on Tuesday 6th January 2015... it is now the 30th of August.... pretty sure I promised myself I'd be a lot better at posting on my blog this year, whereas I have probably been even worse than I was last year... oops!

So, we're already over half way through 2015! And it's already been pretty awesome.

January - I completed the Dryathlon to raise some money for Cancer Research. So I gave up alcohol for the whole month, which I was completely fine with, my body needed a break from booze after going out so much over the Christmas period! Phew.

February - I booked a surprise trip to Hamburg for Bob for his birthday! We went for a long weekend, and even though it was FREEZING we loved it there. We would definitely visit again in the future!
Also in February, I started going to aerial silks classes with my friend Sophie. She had wanted to start for ages, and one day messaged me asking if I would like to go and try it with her. Not gonna lie, I had to google what it was when I received her message. I thought, why not give it a go, something different. I went along and absolutely loved it, and so we still go every week now. It's really good fun, is something very different, and isn't half a blummin' good workout! I have seen such a difference health wise, and toning wise. Just need to stop eating rubbish and I'll be well on my way to being nice and slim and healthy! (pictures below)

March - I went to see The Veronicas with Sophie at the beginning of March. They were really good live, and it was nice to be back in the little Academy 2. Such a good little venue for gigs. I remember when I saw Paramore in there, now that was a long time ago!

May - I went to see one of my favourite bands (for the 5th time now I think..) Twin Atlantic. I got to go and see them in Manchester Albert Hall which I have never been in before. Was a lovely little venue, not too big so it was still quite an intimate gig. I don't think I will ever get tired of seeing those boys!
We went to visit our friends who live in Torquay. We stayed with them for just under a week, and it flew by far too fast. They are such good friends, and are just an amazing couple to know. I really hate that we live so far apart, if we lived closer we would probably see each other loads. But as we say every time we are together, it makes the trips to see each other that bit more special and worth it. We also received the news earlier this year that they are expecting their first baby, and I honestly have never been more excited for anyone to have a baby than those two. They are going to be amazing parents and I cannot wait to meet the little one. And to be the cool Auntie from up North that spoils them rotten :) yay!
Towards the end of May, I decided to try aerial hoop as I'd always just caught the end of the lesson when arriving to do silks and quite liked the look of it. I loved it (although it does bruise you quite a bit. It is a metal hoop after all!) and so decided I wanted to start hoop as well as silks the next month.

June - My sister had a couple of hen do's. The first being in Manchester with my Mum and two step sisters. We went out for a lovely meal and then out in town afterwards for drinks and a bit of a boogie, which was good fun!
I went to see Taylor Swift at Manchester Arena with my friend Emma. She was brilliant! Absolutely loved it, she sure knows how to put on a show. Was a little disappointed there was no one nearby for her to surprise the crowd with and bring on stage, but there we go. She was still fantastic! And we had an amazing view for the whole thing. Especially when her stage rose up and spun round for her to stop directly in front of us, which was very surreal to have Swifty right in front of you! ha.

July - The main hen do for my sister was in Amsterdam. We went for a long weekend, and it is such a pretty place. I know it is known mostly for the red light district, but you can completely avoid that if you don't want to see it. There are plenty of places away from that side of Amsterdam, and it's a lovely place. I would definitely go again. I would love to visit with Bob at some point!
It was also our wedding anniversary on the 7th July. 3 years! It definitely doesn't feel like 3 years has gone by, wow.

August - My sister's wedding!!! Awww it was so lovely. I was a bridesmaid, and loved every second of it. It was a gorgeous sunny day, so they got married outside and it was just so laid back and lovely. Brilliant day!
We went away for a week with my Mum and step dad to Loch Lomond in Scotland. Such a stunning place, and we were so lucky with the weather! Generally just chilled. Bob went playing golf quite a lot throughout the week. Me and my Mum went on a seaplane trip which was amazing, and we went for a spa day which was SO relaxing! It was a really good week off work, and we both managed to just chill which was much needed.

And that brings my blog about up to speed I think! If I have forgotten something crucial I'm sure I will mention it in a later post, but I think I've done pretty well there. Apart from it ending up a huge essay!

I should maybe aim for one blog a month.... I may have to set some reminders haha!

Next month I have a trip to Paris booked. Me and Sophie are going for 5 nights. We are going to explore Paris and also have a day in Disneyland! I am so excited, I really can't wait!! I will definitely be doing a Paris trip post!

Anyway, that's enough rambling for now.

Here are some of my favourite pictures from the year so far, in no particular order. I've grouped together gigs, George, silks/hoop and wedding :)

Looking Back On 2014

I cannot believe just how fast this year has gone. A feeling a tend to feel every year when all of a sudden we're back to the mad rush of Christmas time and the end of the year.

So I would like my first post of 2015 to enable me to take a moment and look back on my year.

My highlights of 2014:

Watching Thomas grow into a lovely little boy, and celebrating his first birthday.
Visiting our lovely friends Becci and Frazer down near Torquay. And they came to visit us twice.
Seeing Katy Perry.
Lots and lots of George walks and cuddles.
2 year wedding anniversary for me and Bob.
Winning tickets to go to Twin Atlantic's secret show in Manchester. Most intimate gig ever!
V Festival, and finally seeing Justin Timberlake live.
Holiday to Dubrovnik, which very quickly became my favourite place on Earth.
My birthday trip to Chester Zoo with my Dad and Thomas.
Trip to London with Bob to visit the Harry Potter WB's Studio Tour.
The big company Christmas do at the town hall in Manchester.
Getting promoted at work.
Christmas and New Years Eve with all my family and friends.
Plenty of gigs and meet ups with my lovely friends and family throughout the year.
Cocktails.
And plenty of plans being made for the future.

So all in all, a pretty fantastic year. I loved 2014, but I am so ready for what 2015 has to offer. Bring it on! And here's to hoping everything we planned for happens!

If you are reading this. Happy New Year! I hope 2015 brings all you hope for.

Here's to new beginnings. And blogging more this year.... I hope!

Have a good'un.
